The Central Java Grand Mosque is one of the city’s most impressive religious landmarks. Built with a combination of Javanese, Islamic, and Roman architectural styles, the mosque is unique both in design and facilities. One of its most distinctive features is the six giant hydraulic umbrellas in the main courtyard, inspired by the design of the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.

The mosque also features the 99-meter-high Al-Husna Tower, which is open to visitors. From the top, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Semarang. In addition to being a place of worship, the mosque is also a welcoming religious tourism destination open to the public.
